HALF DAY KITCHEN KNIFE CLASS
What you will be doing: Creating your own functional kitchen knife which will be pride of your kitchen! Grinding, Sanding, Quenching, Designing, Shaping & fitting your handle, Assembly and Finishing What to bring: Old Clothing (natural fibres if possible is best), Covered in Footwear, Hair tie for longer hair, Warm clothes (this is an outdoor activity - it gets cold!), Prescription Glasses if required What's Included: All materials for your knife, Safety gear (Apron, earmuffs, safety glasses & Gloves), Tea, Coffee, Milo's, chilled water & morning tea. Axe and Knife throwing and a few laughs! Facilities: Blacksmith Shed with traditional smithy's dirt floor and coal forge. Outdoor outhouse (Toilet) and outdoor hand washing facilities. Refreshment station to help yourself to throughout your class

On this Half Day Kitchen Knife Making Class you will be assembling and finishing a pre-profiled carbon steel kitchen knife (3 styles available)

FULL DAY FORGING CLASS
In this Full Day Forging Knife Making Class you will be designing (total length approximately 250mm), forging in coal forge, quenching, fitting bolster, shaping & fitting the handle, assembling and finishing a treasured knife that you have created from scratch!

Duration: 6 to 7 hours - 8.30am to approximately 2.30pm - 3.30pm (depending on size of class)
Class Size: 2 to 4 people (Special request 6 people)

Starting with designing, forging in coal forge, grinding, sanding, quenching, bolster assembly (if you choose to have one), designing, shaping & fitting your handle, assembly and finishing What to bring: Old Clothing (natural fibres if possible is best), Covered in Footwear, Hair tie for longer hair, Warm clothes (this is an outdoor activity - it gets cold!), Prescription Glasses if required, Lots of enthusiasm and eagerness to give things a go! What's Included: All materials for your knife, Safety gear (Apron, earmuffs, safety glasses & Gloves), Great technical knowledge, Tea, Coffee, Milo's, chilled water, good old home cooked lunch, Axe and Knife throwing and a few laughs!
