Knife Making Courses & Custom Metalworks

 

Get a group of friends or family together (2 - 6 people) and discover the fundamentals of traditional knife making, gain an appreciation for true craftsmanship and come away your own unique handmade knife at our rural North Canterbury forge

An opportunity to create the movement of hot steel - the goal is to discover the satisfaction of seeing a completed, tangible and functional piece of art you have made yourself!

This experience is perfect for anyone who would like to try their hand at Blacksmithing and Bladesmithing. You will learn the traditional techniques passed down through the ages for forging knives and many other edged tools.

 

You will design, forge, grind, heat treat, create a handle, polish, & sharpen to produce a totally unique & usable knife – extremely rewarding in using a knife you’ve hand crafted yourself!

 

Prepare to get down & dirty, have a laugh here & there, be a little worn out yet satisfied & inspired!
